An Evening with Eliza Manningham-Buller

junior doctor

Join us for an evening with GDST alumna Baroness Manningham-Buller, a distinguished figure in international security and former Director General of MI5. As an intelligence officer for 33 years, she worked on espionage and terrorism.

After leaving MI5 she became a crossbench peer in the House of Lords where she currently chairs a Select Committee on Social Mobility. She also spent twelve years at the Wellcome Trust, one of the world’s largest charities which funds medical research in about seventy countries, where she was a Governor for seven years and the Chair for five.

Eliza will reflect on what she has learned from her career, on leadership, working under pressure, navigating uncertainty and ambiguity and remaining resilient.
